We hope that you enjoy your visit and if you are new to our village, stop by the Village Office to pick up a Village Brochure and Packet which includes an application for services provided by the village and an agreement to allow the Water Superintendent to install and maintain a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system for drinking water in your home along with an explanation and agreement to ensure that there are no backflow issues with your system. Your Packet will also contain Village of Haigler Policies regarding deposits and rates for water, sewer and trash removal.

Village Superintendent​
The Village of Haigler in Dundy County NE is seeking a Village Clerk/Treasurer. This is a full-time position. Individual must be a critical thinker, higher order problem solver, multi-tasker, possess organizational skills and a teachable spirit, customer-service oriented including verbal communication skill, proficient in writing and summarizing details of Board Meetings and Public Hearings, have basic bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of cash flow and accounting principles, ability to learn new tasks, apply integrity, professionalism and flexibility, computer skills being a must. A QuickBooks knowledge base is helpful, along with Microsoft Office/Word and other spreadsheet operating systems; a basic knowledge of municipal operations, performing common clerical tasks and experience working in an office environment with files. Duties include record-keeping, preparing notices, minutes, and proceedings of Board Meetings, along with other correspondence, accounting, aid to budget preparation, claims processing, utility notices, adhering to federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements for the position as well as interacting with community members and the Village Board. Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
Applicant must be willing to be bonded, an authorized signer on Village accounts, acquire CEU’s required for state agencies as a municipal Treasurer and be present at Board Meetings the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. The Village is willing to train. Wages based upon experience level.

The Village of Haigler in Dundy County NE is seeking a Village Superintendent. This is a full-time position. Individual must be service oriented, mechanically inclined and possess a teachable spirit. Must be comfortable with heavy equipment such as road grader, front loader, backhoe, tractors, trucks, dump trucks, lawn mowers, tools, etc. Must be mechanically inclined for various vehicle and equipment maintenance. Basic welding experience is a plus. Must have the aptitude to become a licensed Class IV Water Operator. Departments include general government, parks and recreation, street maintenance, basic electrical maintenance, water department services, mowing, sewer department services and solid waste involvement. Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Class IV Water Operator license. The Village is willing to train. Wages based upon experience level.
